By Muhammed Nasiru AdejohHon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State has advised Kogites to be positive toward the State in their conducts and public relations for the State to maintain its glory.
The Federal Lawmaker gave the advice in a press statement issued by his Coordinator of Information, Visual and Strategic (IVS) Operations, Comrade Muhammed Nasiru to commemorate the State’s 31st anniversary after creation in Abuja on Saturday.
In the press statement which also congratulated His Excellency Alhai Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of the State, Rep. Halims said that Kogites should be proud of the State and rise to the responsibility of good conduct cum morally sound public relations with people within and outside the State adding that the reality of every State is a reflection of its people.
Hon. Hapims tasked Kogites to develop the right mindset and positive attitude through which, he said, “we can build a greater State and consolidate on the gains of the current administration.”
Congratulating Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the entire people of Kogi State on the thirty first creation anniversary, the federal Lawmaker charged Kogites to continue making the best of their capabilities, noting that such is the “best we can do to honour the legacy of our founding fathers”.
After rating the Governor high for his numerous infrastructures, human capital development and the security of lives and properties in the State, Hon. Halims commended the various contribution of the State’s past Governors that has brought the State to where it is as he prayed for the continued peaceful rest of the State’s first democratically elected Governor, Late Prince Abubakar Audu.
Halims who is also Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Steel Development concluded by thanking God for His mercy on the State despite challenges, reiterating that every citizen has a vital role to play in building the State to an enviable height.
