The Honorable Member representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives and Chairman of the House Committee on Steel Development, Rep. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims has congratulated Muslim faithfuls as they mark this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
In a statement issued by his Coordinator of Information, Visual and Strategic(IVS) Operations, Comrade Muhammed Nasiru, the Rep admonished both Muslims and non Muslims to take lessons from the myth of Eid-el-Kabir which symbolizes sacrificial obedience.
According to the Statement, “I rejoice with Muslim faithfuls and humanity in general as we mark this year’s celebration of the Eid-el-Kabir. While we celebrate, I urge us all to mark this auspicious occasion with side reflections on the significance of the sacrifice and strive toward replicating same in our relationship with one another.
“Eid is a golden opportunity to rededicate ourselves to God’s service, purify our intentions and spread love to people around us — especially those in need.”
The Federal Lawmaker added that as a Nation, Nigeria is currently being faced with a couple of challenges but through the collective resolve of all Country men and women, Nigeria will reclaim its pride as a country of heterogeneous people living in peace, harmony and steady socioeconomic development at all level.

Halims concluded by specially wishing the good people of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Local Government Areas of Kogi State a hitch free celebration as he appealed to security operatives to ensure adequate intelligence gathering to forestall any security threat.
