A Frontline Aspirant for Kogi State Governorship Election ahead of the November 2023 Guber polls, Prince Dayo Akanmode has enjoined Christians to imbibe the virtues of love, sacrifice and faith in God as they Celebrate Easter, a celebration of the death and resurrection of Christ.
Prince Akanmode in a statement made available to Newsmen in Lokoja the State Capital said the celebration is important for every believer of Christ.
The statement reads “I want to congratulate all our Christian faithfuls all over the state for witnessing another Easter season celebrations.”
“The importance and significance of this season can not be overemphasized in the lives of christians all over the world as it encapsulates the rare sacrifice Christ made on the cosss of calvary, His death and resurrection.”
“I urge all Christian’s to imbibe the rare attributes of love, sacrifice and faith that Christ death and resurrections signify.”
He further stated that “This period is also significant as it coincide with a time of high level political activities in the country in preparation for another election in to various political offices.I urge all politicians to be sober as they use their positions to radiate love and compassion to the vulnurables and less privileged in the society. They must always remember and act as people who will give account.”
