As thousands of well wishers continue to pour encomiums on Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for unmatchable sectoral achievements garnered in the last five years, Senator Yakubu Oseni representing Kogi Central senatorial district has described him as a unique leader who has blazed the trail in governance.

The lawmaker who is the chairman, Senate Committee on Information and Communication Technology/Cybercrime, said Governor Bello’s infectious achievements in the areas of security, infrastructural development, youths and women inclusion in governance and sustainable agricultural revolution in the state in the last five years has exposed him to various patriotic calls to vie for the highest political office in the country.

“The people of the Confluence State is not only celebrating Governor Yahaya Bello as a rare political icon, but a transparent governor driven by selfless purpose and unification of the people.

“Governor Yahaya Bello has in the last five years broken many repressive and anti-development jinxes and this has made the state to maintain a leading position in many ratings by both local and international accountability and transparency institutes,” he said.

While affirming that the state has fared better in the New Direction administration of the young Governor since inauguration in January 2016, the lawmaker further revealed that the tribal and religious bigotry which formerly polarised the state along many fault lines has been laid to a permanent rest.

Senator Oseni then congratulated the Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja; Kogi APC chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Bello and other members of the cabinet for their various contributions in the development of the state.

“Above all, I rejoice with my ever political conscious people of Kogi State especially my constituents for insisting on second term mandate of Governor Yahaya Bello. Our state has become a reference point for positive statistics and ratings as a result of your choice of Governor Bello,” he added.
