Council Polls: KOSIEC Appoints Electoral Officers

Ahead of the December 12 local government elections, the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) has appointed electoral officers and assistant electoral officers in the 21 LGAs to spearhead electoral activities in the councils.

A statement from the Chairman of the Commission, Mamman Nda Eri stated that the service of the appointees would last from September to December; the period of the election.

It further revealed that terms and conditions of their engagement would be communicated to them on assumption of duty.

The electoral officers who have been served their letters have reported at their various local government councils.

Among those appointed are: Sheneni James Daku, Bassa; Noel Adejoh Adaji, Olamaboro; Mahmud Umar Yunusa, Kogi (KKF); Ali Abubakar, Omala; Sabiu Ishaka Alfa, Ankpa; Similar Toyin, Ogori-Magongo; Abalaka Ukubile Samuel, Igalamela-Odolu; Idris Yakubu, Dekina; Olusegun Aro, Yagba West; Adeyemi Abel Ibisagba, Kabba/ Bunu; and Yakubu Adams, Okehi.

Others are: Onate Monday, Ibaji; Zekers Sule, Idah; Shaibu Onotu, Adavi; Onekaja Isa Aliyu, Ajaokuta; Abdulkadir Nma Musa, Lokoja; Alaiyemola Moses, Mopa-Muro; Mohammed Alabi, Okene; Mamudu Ojonuga, Ofu; and Ibrahim Abdulazeez, Ijumu.
