Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Political Matters for Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi has commended the Acting Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Dr Salisu Ogbo Usman for the turnaround of the state-owned tertiary institution within a short time.
In a statement issued in Lokoja, Omoluabi said the Acting Rector has Governor Yahaya Bello’s confidence in him.
He added that Dr. Ogbo has demonstrated that he is a great leader who can deploy his administrative dexterity in serving the people.
“Dr. Ogbo’s track record as a sound and young academic and later the Head of Department of Political Science in Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba positioned him for the exploits he is recording in Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja.
“Dr. Usman Ogbo deserves our collective applause for the turnaround touch the school is enjoying under his leadership in a very short while.
“A relatively young academic and pro democratic researcher whose tenure as the HOD Political Science in the prestigious Prince Abubakar Audu University was a testimony of honour and milestone of performance.
“He has replicated same in Kogi Polytechnic as the Acting Rector. Aside the 30-bed space Hajia Hauwa Bello medical Centre, perimeter fence, security House, ICT centre and a newly renovated lecture theater, the academic institution is wearing a new look courtesy of his brilliant leadership.
“This is unprecedented and we are proud of him. This has again brought to fore GYB’s eye for the brightest hands in the management of affairs of our state,” Omoluabi said.
He also urged Dr. Ogbo to continue making the Polytechnic a pace-setter and example to others, assuring that the state government will give him all the necessary support in its avowed commitment to invest in the education sector.
