“A leader takes people where they want to go. A great leader takes people where they don’t necessarily want to go, but ought to be.” – Rosalynn Carter, former first lady of the United States.

“To be a leader, you have to make people want to follow you, and nobody wants to follow someone who doesn’t know where he is going.” – Joe Namath, former New York Jets quarterback.

Bassa Local Government Area has seen series of leaders in the past and all have done their bits in the quest to bring the much needed development, transformation and change to the area but no matter how hard they tried, poverty and underdevelopment has continued to stare our people in the face.

What we need at the moment in our dear and beloved LGA is someone with a new ideology, new developmental template and blueprint that will aggressively drive the vehicle of transformation and development and ensure that the immediate need of our people are met.

Prince Adamu Ibrahim Alih having been involved directly in the political activities of the local government since the return of democracy in 1999, understands the yearnings, aspirations and the basic needs of the inhabitants of the area and is prepared and ready to ensure that government attention is drawn to the LGA through synergy with the state government and other relevant organizations especially the traditional institutions

He is young, vibrant, educated, determined, courageous, connected and ready to make sure that his people once again feels the impact of governance. As we move towards the December 12th tentative date set by the Kogi state independent electoral commission (SIEC) for the conduct of the Local polls,we should look at the possibility of having someone who knows the people, understands them and their immediate need. That person is Prince Adamu Ibrahim Alih.
