Special breeds of human race are those that enjoy the favour of God and goodwill from everyone after leaving political office.

I met Mr. Mike Abu when I was coming up as a young journalist when he was the Chief Press Secretary to the then Kogi State Deputy Governor, His Excellency,  Architect Yomi Awoniyi at an assignment at the NYSC Orientation Camp, along Kabba-Ogidi road.

I walked up to him and introduced myself. He said “That’s good, you have reduced my stress of writing press release to the radio.”

After he left office, Mr. Mike Abu still maintained the relationship. My definition of this prolific writer is that he is a man of God, humble, caring and a goal getter.

One thing that amazed me about Mr. Mike Abu is that his professionalism and harmonious relationship with all made him to rise to the position of a CPS because of how he blends with all shades and  ethnic divide, having lived harmoniously with the Kogi people.

As a man of God, good father and husband, he does not allow his job to interfere with the discharge of his duties and service to God as a worker in the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

As a journalist with foresight and great repute, he began the online media platform for his Newspaper, “Nigerian Post” widely read by many, within and outside the country.

You will not hesitate to like Mr. Mike Abu whenever he officiates at ceremonies as MC. His command of the microphone is simply the best.

As Mr. Mike Abu celebrates another year in this planet, all I have to do is to join his family and well wishers to express profound gratitude to God. May you receive more mercy and grace from God almighty in the years ahead.
Congratulations and happy birthday my Boss.
