Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo has expressed the readiness of Information Ministry to promote the state and project it in good light.
Fanwo made this known in Lokoja on Tuesday while inaugurating the editorial board for the proposed ‘Doing More’ magazine.
He stated that the magazine will project positive impact of government policies on the state’s economy and those of the citizens of the state.
The information manager noted that the driving force behind the proposed magazine is in keeping with the renewed vigour of providing articulated information on the giant strides under the watch of Governor Yahaya Bello.
He promised that the magazine will be world-class and will improve the good image of the state.
Fanwo charged the editorial board to ensure contents of the magazine showcase the sectoral achievements of various ministries and agencies of government.
He added that the state government had done a lot that needed to be constantly projected for the public to read and appreciate.
The Director of Information Services in the Ministry, Jordan Akpata, commended the Commissioner for the laudable initiative. He pledged the commitment of members to giving their best into the new assignment.
Fanwo is the Chairman of the editorial board while Apata will serve as the Editor-in-Chief. Mr. Adurodija Ebenizer is Deputy Editor-in-Chief while Mr. Sunday Adeniy is to serve as the Editor.
Other members of the board are Mrs Modupe Adegboro, Mr. Solomon Musa, Mrs Olajumonke Obatomi Mrs Princess Funsho Sumanu and Odofin Phillip Olurotimi.
