The Emerging Leaders Forum (ELF), Kogi East, has congratulated Governor Yahaya Bello on his recent victory at the Kogi State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.
In a statement issued by the General Secretary, Onoja Faith, the Forum described the judgment as a victory for democracy.
The Forum hailed the jurists on the Tribunal panel for upholding the truth and validating the wishes of Kogi electorate as free expressed at the poll.
“The Forum also congratulates her Chairman Board of Trustees, His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of the State, Chief Edward David Onoja, on the resounding victory at the Tribunal.
“Our felicitation also goes to our Convener, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman, who has resolutely demonstrated his faith, commitment, dedication and support for the administration of Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello.
“Your Excellency, Sir, the victory at the tribunal was not only a victory for you as a person, but also for democracy and the entire good people of Kogi State.
“This victory further reaffirms the voice of the people as freely and overwhelmingly expressed at the ballot on 16th November, 2019.
“The victory which coincides with the last day of the holy month of Ramadan further buttresses the fact that His Excellency’s mandate is also divinely entrenched.
“We salute the firmness and fairness of the tribunal which has, through the judgment, demonstrated its full responsibility as beacon of hope for those who act in accordance with the dictate of the law.
“May the victory be the spring board that will launch the State to greater height,” the statement said.
Once again, hearty congratulations to His Excellency and the good people of Kogi State on this historic landmark, and Eid Mubarak to the Muslim faithful within and outside the State.
