A leading chairmanship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC( for Ogori /Magongo local government council of Kogi State, Abiodun Aiyedun has pledged to transform and take the local government to lofty heights that will be an envy of all.
Aiyedun, during a chat with newsmen in Lokoja on Friday, promised to pursue positive ideals that will transform the lives of the people of the area if elected.
According to the chairmanship hopeful, he will explore his international and indigenous business acumen and connections to bear on the economy of the local government and improve its internally generated revenue while empowering the youths through entrepreneurship and job creation.
In the same vein, he promised that the women and aged in the local government would be given proper attention through a packaged welfare and entrepreneurship programme geared towards making them live an healthy life and be more productive.
The APC aspirant who is also the Managing Director of FOTOPS Auto Services Centre in Lokoja and grassroots politician stressed that the people of Ogori /Magongo LGA are educated, enlightened, enterprising and peace loving people who deserve the best in terms of dividends of democracy. He promised that if elected, he will not fail them in any premise.
On security, Abiodun asserted that being a man from the roots, he is aware of the security challenges in the area and has structured out a plan to further empower security agents, engage more and provide more equipment for their operations in addition to encouraging local and community policing.

The chairmanship hopeful who commended the untiring efforts and transformation strides of Governor Yahaya Bello, pledged to emulate and implement his ideals and transformation efforts in Ogori /Magongo.
While commiserating with the Governor on the painful demise of his mother, Abiodun urged Gov. Bello to take solace in the fact that his late mother lived a life worthy of emulation. He prayed God to give him the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
He then called on the good and progressive people of Ogori /Magongo area to support his quest to transform and take the LGA to greater heights.
