The Forum of Ward Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have unanimously endorsed the Administrator of Mopamuro local government, Hon. Moses Sunday David (Alumo) as its sole chairmanship candidate in the much anticipated council polls in Kogi state.
The Ward Chairmen made this known in Mopa on Sunday.
Led by the Chairman of the Forum, Mr. Samuel Obasun, the Ward leaders said they decided to endorse Alumo as the next Chairman of Mopamuro local government because they are convinced beyond reasonable doubt that he has all it takes to attract the needed development.
The Ward leaders explained that Mopamuro is a very unique local government that requires someone who is “globally sound”.
Mr. Obasun stated that enviable achievements recorded by Alumo as Administrator of the local government are convincing and deserving of applause.
He noted that the Orokere-Amuro electricity project, rehabilitation of market stalls, entrance road and construction of culverts and drainage at Mopa Owode market, grading of feeder roads across the local government, distribution of exercise books to students of secondary schools and pupils of primary schools across the LGA, empowerment programs that helped the people and party members across the ten wards of Mopamuro LGA are enough reasons for their endorsement.
Responding, Hon Moses David expressed gratitude to the APC ward chairmen. He thanked them for the trust and confidence reposed in him.
The Administrator assured them that he has all it takes to give Mopamuro people the very best.
The occasion was witnessed by all the ten ward chairmen of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Mopamuro.
