APC National Woman Leader Demands Justice Over Kogi PDP Woman Leader’s Murder

For the umpteenth time, the national woman leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Hajia Salamatu Baiwa Umar-Eluma has appealed to security agencies to prosecute the arsonists who burnt PDP women leader in Kogi state, Salome Acheju Abuh alive in her hom.

Abuh, who was the PDP’s women leader for the Wada/Aro campaign council, Ochadamu ward of Kogi state, was locked up in her house and burnt alive by the political thugs few days after the just concluded governorship election in the state.

Baiwa made the appeal in an emotion laden message during the service of song/wake-keep for the deceased at the United Evangelical Church (UEC), Utako district.

She decried the violence meted out on the PDP women leader, adding that “regardless of party differences, creed or religion, the action is condemnable, inhuman and alien to the political development of our state.”

The APC chieftain said she is solidly behind the family in their demand for justice over the death of late Mrs Abuh. She insisted that those behind the heinous crime be brought to book so as to serve as deterrent to others.

Baiwa stated that the only consolation left for the family now, especially the husband, Mr Abuh and the children, is to see that justice is done.

She prayed for the repose of the soul of the her late sister, late Mrs Salome Acheju Abuh and that God grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
