The Administrator of Adavi local government council, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami has extolled the sterling qualities of the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Dr (Engr.) Abubakar Sadiqu Ohere.
Hon. Joseph, at a thanksgiving ceremony organized by him to celebrate the landslide victory of Governor Yahaya Bello and his deputy, Chief Edward Onoja during the November 16 governorship election in Kogi State, stated that he appreciates the good people of Kogi State in general and Adavians in particular for their undiluted love and inestimable support during the poll.
According to the Adavi LG Council Boss, Engr. Ohere is a grassroot commander and political architect of New Direction government who intellectually drew up a roadmap of electoral victory in Kogi Central.
“Indeed, Engr. Ohere is a humble and trust worthy leader, a man of impeccable character. He didn’t allow the murky side of politics to influence him negatively. His humanitarian services cut across individuals, the civil service and political realm,” he said.
Hon. Joseph utilized the medium to express his joy on the entire cabinet members of the New Direction government ably and actively led by Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello and Onoja. He also commended appointees from Adavi Local Government, especially the SA on Domestic to the Executive Governor, Alh. Aliyu Kabiru Onyene, the State Party Chairman of All Progressive Congress, Alh. Abdullahi Bello (Dollar) and others.
Similarly, the Council boss eulogized the sincere efforts of the former State Party Chairman, Alh. Hadi Ametuo, (Authentic Chairman) during the last Kogi State gubernatorial election that gave victory to the ruling party. He prayed that God reward them all for their inputs.
Engr. Abubakar Ohere has had unprecedented and meteoric elevations along the success ladder of governance in Kogi State as he got promoted by by the Governor from being a Special Adviser to his current position as a commissioner.
Hon. Joseph also maintained that Governor Bello remains “a meticulous politically talented leader, whose leadership roles in Kogi State can be likened to that of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
“He has carefully selected a team of technocrats to be part of New Direction Government.”
