Female governorship aspirant, Princess Iye Grace Adejoh has denied reports alleging that she is being sponsored.

In a statement released to newsmen on Thursday, Adejoh said she is in the Kogi gubernatorial race to win.

She stated that her opponents are afraid of the stark reality that she will win the party primary hence the resort to blackmail that she’s been sponsored.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) female governorship aspirant said the Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration has not only failed in governance, but has made poverty the peoples trademark.

Princess Adejoh stated that having purchased her PDP nomination and intent forms, she will stop at nothing positively that will make her win in the forthcoming November governorship election. She described PDP as the party to beat if she wins the party’s ticket.

The PDP aspirant lamented that the state has become a theatre of absurdity. Adejoh said she cut her teeth politically since the advent of democracy, and got involved in the election of Presidents of the nation on the platform of the party since 1999.

The female aspirant described her aspiration as a break from the past, insisting that only those who do not mean well for the state will allege that she is been sponsored.

The Dekina LGA born politician promised to bring her experience to bear in ensuring good governance in the state, stating that having made a success of her private and public life without blemish, she would not be distracted by the thought of those who are scared of her rising profile to allow it affect her good intention for the state.

She urged her supporters and members of the PDP to discountenance the unfounded rumours as the allegations are handiworks of those afraid of her clear chances in winning the governorship election in November.
