From the depth of my heart, I say a sincere congratulations to my
fellow Nigerians for your perseverance and for the jane mark of twenty
uninterrupted years of civil rule in the history of our dear nation.

It is regrettable to state that the various administrations that had
so far governed this falling giant had held the principles of
democracy and good governance to ransom in order to actualise their
inordinate ambitions.

Twenty years down the memory lane, Nigeria is still struggling to attain the status of a full fledged democratic nation. Where and how have we got it wrong?

Fellow countrymen/ women, as we flip to another page of our national
history in waiting with a heavy heart, full of pains and
disappointment by the various administrations that has stirred the
affairs of our dear nation which resulted to our current pathetic
state of citizens morale accompanied by a deteriorating economy.

I welcome you officially to the ‘Next Level’ which I believe to be the
result of majority electorate’s will. The Lord God in his infinite
mercy shall bestow unto the driver of the ‘Next Level’ train, President
Muhammadu Buhari and his conductor, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, wisdom to lead our nation to greater heights of both human and economic
developments.

Let’s remain patient and work in peace with the new administration
both at the centre and state levels by casting aside grudges which
might have popped up as a result of the February/ March elections for
the progress and unity of our  dear nation as we all, irrespective of
our differences have an important contribution to make in order to
actualise the Nigeria of our dream. Each cell has it own purpose,
which is to keep on living, and serve also the purpose of other cells
in the same body.

Once again, I say a big congratulations to the president and all
other elected public office holders. Thank you for choosing to serve your purpose, which is to make your contributions toward the growth of our nation and serve also the purpose of other citizens of this great nation. Your contributions either positive or negative will decide where your respective names will be written in history – embroidered on the golden page of history or in waste bin.

Remember, politics is any planned activity geared towards promoting
the welfare of all members and groups within the society.

“Good political activity is a way of helping people to live
faithfully in freedom and solidarity that befits human dignity and
make possible the attainment of social justice and peace.”- Bernard
Haring.
