Easter: Kogi Speaker Charges Nigerians on Peaceful Coexistence, Tolerance and Sacrifice

The Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Prince Matthew Kolawole has charged Nigerians on peaceful co-existence, tolerance and personal sacrifice that will enhance the growth of the country.

He noted that Jesus Christ laid down His life for mankind and urged  Nigerians to emulate his nature that gives hope for humanity.

In a press statement signed by his chief press secretary, Femi Olugbemi, the Speaker said the need for peaceful co-existence, tolerance,  love, forgiveness  and sacrifice among all  Nigerians cannot be over emphasized.

According to him, no sacrifice is too much for Nigerians to make for  the peace and development of the country.

He used the medium to felicitate  with the Christian folks on Easter celebration and appealed to all and sundry to sustain the prevailing peace in the country, saying no meaningful development can take place where there is no peace.

“May the celebration of the passion and death of Jesus Christ bring total renewal of God’s favour, grace and blessings in our lives and the nation,” he added.

He admonished the people to continue to make sacrifices for one another just as Jesus Christ did, which is the reason for this season.

“Let us spread love and forgiveness. Let us emulate the exemplary life of our Lord and Saviour”.

The Speaker said as we mark the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, it is his prayer that there should be peace in all parts of the state and our dear nation.
