The Yagba East House of Assembly candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon Sule Iroko has commended the people of Yagba land for their support in the emergence of Elder Leke Abejide of ADC in the House of Representatives election.
Sule made this known while addressing the crowd that paid him visit to congratulate him for boss’ victory at the polls.
The Assembly hopeful said he cannot summon enough words to thank the people of Yagbaland who have made this historic day possible.
“Today, the people of Yagba land have spoken and spoken decisively. That courage stood tall and democracy blew its trumpet. You have proven that the collective voice remains the voice of Yagba,” he said.
He assured them that Elder Leke Abejide will make good of all the promises he made during campaign.
He equally used the opportunity to enjoin the people of Yagba land and ADC supporters that its not over until it is over, urging that this victory should spur them to work even harder to deliver victory for the party in the forthcoming House of Assembly election.
Finally, he commended the good people of Yagba land and ADC supporters for the maturity they have displayed before, during and after elections in the face of threats, intimidations and molestation by powers that want to thwart the sovereign will of the people.
