The lawmaker representing Okene l State constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Lawi AT Ahmed, has urged Kogites to adopt positive attitude in 2019.
According to the lawmaker, every available indices indicated that Kogi State is on the brink of greatness.
Hon. Lawi, in his New Year message issued by his Media Aide, Comr. Danfulani Lukman, said the prospect of a better state will be realized if the people cooperate and work together for the betterment of our dear state.
Lawi stated that he was confident that efforts put in place by the administration of Gov. Yahaya Bello will continue to impact positively on the lives of the people of Kogi State.
“2019 would be a year of great significance for Kogi State as such working together with a united purpose will guarantee success for our state. This is imperative not just for our well-being, but for the benefit of the future generation of Nigerians.
“We’re expecting increased output from our farmers and with crops like rice, cassava and cashew, we hope to maintain our position as one of the leading producers in Nigeria.
“The administration of Gov. Yahaya Bello have expanded our industrial base. We’re hopeful that other industries will come on stream to provide employment opportunities for our people, and subsequently improve on the economic situation of our dear state”, he said.
