Lawmaker representing Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Yusuf Ahmed Tijani Damisa has described last weekend rally of the APC in Kogi Central senatorial district as a huge success and a demonstration of the strength of the party in the region.
Describing the rally as the mother of all rallies, Damisa said that contrary to what detractors of the APC would have the people to believe, the APC remained the dominant party in Kogi Central and Kogi state in general.
Damisa stressed that those who feel uncomfortable with the ever rising political profile of the party in the senatorial district still have many more years of sleepless nights to endure.
“We cannot rest on our oars despite the fact that APC is the ruling and governing party at both Federal and the state. There is the need for all, individually and collectively, to work together as a strong teams to take full control of the State, National Assembly seat and political leadership of Kogi State come 2019,” he said.
He lauded Kogi State Governor, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello for his sterling performance since assumption of office in 2016, saying his achievements across all sectors and sections speak volume and were visible to all.
“It is gratifying that the current administration had exemplified good governance in all facets of the state.”
