Administrator of Omala local government, Alhaji Ibrahim Yakubu Aboh has dismissed claims by some groups that Senator Atai Aidoko electrified Abejukola township.
In a press statement, Aboh described the claims as spurious, unfounded and misleading.
He warned those engaging in cheap lies and misleading the public for their pecuniary gains to desist as posterity is a bitch that has no recourse for any being, certainly it will judge everyone.
“The said Aidoko does not know the road that leads to Omala LG, one of the local governments he claimed to be representing in his many years as a senator, neither has he carried out any feasible project in the area.
“We wish to state it categorically clear that Omala electrification project, starting with Abejukolo township, Agbenema, Ajejima, Opada, Odumukpo, Ajomakoji and Obakume communities is one of the first projects carried out by the Yahaya Bello led administration in Omala local government.
“Upon hearing that Abejukolo community, the headquarter of a local government that has produced a governor for good nine years is in total blackout, the governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello in his magnanimity immediately swung into action by mobilising contractors to light up Abejukolo township. The said project was extended to Agbenema-Ife through Abejukolo to Ajomakoji to Obakume in Bagana ward of Omala LG.
“For the record, the contractor that handled the 98% completed electrification project is New Moon Energy Ltd from Abuja. The Alhaji Aboh’s administration in Omala LG further liaise with the contractor to extend the electrification project to Oleji in Abejukolo, old township road leading to Onu Ife’s palace, sabon-gari CEFN Church road, up to Angwa Agatu area in Echa in ward II and other places.
“The people are wiser and are ready to follow their minds because they are leaving witnesses to achievements of the new direction government and APC in general. Observers and opinion seekers are advised to visit the above listed communities to see for themselves, ask questions as to who Aidoko is, you will be startled to hear that it’s not a familiar name in relation to any project in the area.
“The truth is on the tips of the fingers of the people, and that will be their basis for voting, and not based on lies for selfish reasons.
“My administration also provided Ibado Akpacha with 500KVA transformer, stepped down electricity for Icheke Ajocholi, the home of former Governor Alhaji Ibrahim Idris and other places.
“The PDP in Omala local government have lost their relevance and chose to indulge in misleading tactics, a trend we shall continue to puncture to expose their day light lies”, he said.
Aboh urged youths, especially those whose interest is to fill their pocket at the detriment of the populace to de-emphasize on money politics and allow the will of the people to prevail, as APC campaigns in Omala LG will be issue based.
He caution against antics, smearing of good reputations for cheap popularity or political gains.
“The same Senator Aidoko who can not provide or influence light, road network, telephone network, water for his immediate community, Ugbamaka, can not be too benevolent to Omala of all places. Charity they say, begins at home.
“APC led administration under my leadership has drilled boreholes across the length and breathe of the local government, rehabilitated many, opened up roads, empowered youths, and lots more.”
