Let me remind John Paul who obviously is thrilled with the attention he is presently seeking, that writing is not meant to show any form of braggadocio. Writing must be deliberate at public enlightenment, provide precision or it alternatives.
Paul rather prefer to divert our attention instead of responding to issues and campaigning for his candidate.
As a Nigerian, he can be forgiven easily, because in this country, people are quick to use religion as a means to enforce opinion on others. I wonder if Paul is ready to attend church today and what his mind would be telling him while facing God in this humongous job he has as a character assassin.
I wish he will realise and quickly, that a perceptive and so call religious writer should not use the word “even” when comparing religion and politics except if politics is to be made inferior in such example which is totally opposite to what Paul did. Haven said that, quoting the Bible or Qur’An as a means to enforce your opinion on others is in it self a sin; especially when such an opinion is recklessly tenuous and fallacious. But I dare not blame your egocentrism. Nigeria is indeed a very religious country obviously. If not, the questions raised in my earlier rejoinder were very clear, so much that Paul accepted to them all by giving a good account of Echocho as a brilliant, constitutionally qualified, a performer and even went further to describe him as a philanthropist. How can we thank you enough?
I think the deceit is turning around. As we speak, you do not have a candidate. So who would the people vote for against Echocho, is it enough to let them know that Echocho is not fit in your chauvinistic rating without providing an alternative? I think you have a big job in your hands.
For politics to be fair, we must respect peoples opinions and choices. We can not see the path we seek as the best. Your view however is dangerous, because you have taken it from interest to fanaticism By describing all of us who don’t believe in your self acclaimed prophesies as evils.
Paul you remain my brother, and May God in his inexhaustible mercies forgive you.
But since you have taken the religious path, let me also navigate the contour with you. you may wish to read your Bible further. Mathew 7: [1-3] says “[1] Judge not, that ye be not judge. [2] for with what judgement ye judged, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again [3] and why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brothers eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?”
So my brother, while thanking you for taking me back to my Bible tonight, I wish to ask. Have you checked your self?. There is no doubt that you need my prayers and the prayers of many others. This is because, yes your views are perilous, what is more, is your quest to blackmail our audience with your self acclaimed supernatural evidences, especially when they are wrongly used.
I can not run away from some vital issues you have raised. You spoke on salaries of workers, Kogi dilapidated infrastructure what you failed to do, is not knowing the line between the issues. How does Echocho connect in this regard? For your education, I am a very loud voice on these matters, I am one of those who have criticised this government on so many issues and have also commend them where they do deserve such. I have writing to government functionaries, I have put calls across on many occasions to give advise on how the state can move forward. That’s the beauty of democracy. Not this your agenda of reclaiming. And that you have not raised any indicting thing to Echocho in all your writing only to condemn him because of his relationship with His Excellency Governor Yahaya Bello and Edward Onoja is diversionary, very misleading and a leisure activity that we certainly do not need anytime.
Governor Yahaya Bello is not from our constituency. Are you now suggesting, that no one should contest in APC? Because as much as I knew, Echocho contested alongside other aspirant. So if he did not win, they would have clinched the ticket. So are those aspirant also evils? I think I am a little bewildered on your grudges. I bamboozled because, you have not missed any opportunity to describe people as being autocratic, yet its fair in your position to enforce your dictatorial view on others, and condemned anyone who do not believe in it to hell fire. Thank God you are not God.
My advise for you is simple. Get ready to tell the electorate why they should vote for your candidate. Because in the next election, propaganda and propagandists are in for a doom. The issue as take is how electorate sees different candidates and I am sure that’s your weak point. If not you should be selling your candidate instead embarking on this fruitless journey.
The human side of you finally came out when you agreed that Echocho is eminently qualified but stating that he lacks “political will”.
Your choice of words is funny. How do you know those who lacks political will even when they have never held any political office. The candidate you were paid to rubbish has an overwhelming popularity so you have a huge task in your hands to turn white to black.
Echocho has never held a political office neither has he ever been found wanting in his personal and business life. To sit down at the comfort of your home and described him as lacking political will is naive.
In the last two days, you have writing twice about my candidate and we have responded; making four, you see how you are helping us in this campaign even when it has not started fully. Please keep them coming.
We believe strongly, that Jibrin Isah Echocho is the best candidate in this election and we urge you to wait and see how your candidate would be subjected to defeat by the good people of Kogi east to the glory of God.
We strongly believe in the word of God as quoted by Chief Obafemi Awolowo of blessed memory, and to that end, we pray that Evil shall not prevail over good.
Be reminded also that history is wicked and that you will be remembered for whatever thing you said or do, that’s one place Echocho has as a credit over your candidate. When opportunity came calling, he smiled with his people. Those people, their families, well wishes and his long support base will speak loudly in the next election.
Finally, thank you very much for your keen interest in our candidate; for a good product advertise itself.
