The sad era of poor and ineffective representation at the upper chamber of the National Assembly will soon be over.
The APC flag bearer in Kogi central, Alhaji Yakubu Oseni, gave this heartwarming assurance in Lokoja in an exclusive interview with this journalist.
He disclosed that he had carefully drafted a legislative agenda that will herald an era of robust representation at the upper chamber if given the mandate by the good people of Kogi Central in the forthcoming general election slated for February 2019. He said he is the most suitable candidate that can change the narrative given his pedigree in the private and public sectors where he has served the country meritoriously.
According to him, he had taken his time to identify the problems bedeviling Kogi Central interns of infrastructure and human capital development, stressing that his time at the Senate would be spent to address these problems adequately.
He reiterated that he is the best suitable candidate to effect changes in a manner and way youths and women empowerment are being handled, according to him, empowerment programs should not be centered on the provision of motorcycles, hairdressing machines, clippers and other consumables, promising to change this narrative if given the mandate come 2019.
He promised to set up skills acquisition centers in all the local government areas of Kogi Central to adequately cater to the needs of our people.
Yakubu Oseni is the most educated of the candidates; his rich profile shows that he has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, he has his master’s degree from the University of Abuja while his doctoral degree is still in view.
