Being an official statement from Comrade Johnson Musa on the Pseudo Primaries conducted in Kogi East.
My Name was excluded from the Aspirants’ lists in the early hours of Wednesday.
My people!
It is funny how my name appeared after primaries as an aspirant in the aberration called election. [as seen in results being shared on social media]. Let me state here that I am not surprised because it’s expected.
My name was taken off the list after my screening appeal and mandatory clearance for everyone from my senatorial district, by Kogi-East PDP stakeholders just to fulfill a pact, after so much plea and pressure from the incumbents who felt threatened by my popularity and acceptance cum goodwill amongst the youths of my constituency.
The only way an automatic ticket in disguise of primaries can be obtainable is to take Johnson Musa out of the race by force. My name was deleted around 1-2am on the 3rd of October, 2018 after a heated debate between some PDP top stakeholders [those representing Kogi State in the NWC] and KogiEast leaders. At that meeting, their decisions was conclusively narrowed down to my name not to be cleared and excluded.
I got the news immediately after the debate from a major actor who was in the meeting and another confirmation from the leader of my Senatorial district who was the deciding figure, he also affirmed the deal and I moved on.
I was never in the primaries and there is no way my name should reappear after voting. No certificate issued, even after the NWC resolved to allow everyone in KogiEast go for primaries! I wasn’t reached throughout yesterday and today. The Returning Officers didn’t see the fake lists having my name until after voting and collations?
Man is not, by nature, deserving of all that he wants. When we think that we are automatically entitled to something, that is when we start walking all over others to get it forcefully with no dignity. I’m not desperate like those who will go any length to force themselves on the people, even when they are out-of-touch with reality.
I can understand disappointment of my supporters, I plead with you all to be calm while we review and recount all that happened in just few hours of desperation. Definitely, our next move will be communicated!
We didn’t fall nor fail, we didn’t lose to anyone or got defeated by any person, we had no contest nor elections or primaries whatsoever because there was none with anyone. [We have all proofs intact].
My ambition is all about service to my people and my vision is to have a better society than what is obtainable now. We have done excellently well and exceedingly great, our campaigns/ consultations was insightful and memorable. Never again will Dekina-Bassa be this docile, never will 30,000naira replace the dividend of democracy after 4years. Never Again!
#TeamJM was amazing and still waxing strong as I write. This project has no expiration, it will outlive us all, as it’s all about service to humanity. #PeopleFirst
Our delegates were so disappointed in the way and manner the party took the primaries with nonchalance, I won’t point accusing fingers to anyone. Special thanks to my local leaders for standing with us.
Kudos to youths who were offering to support us with monies collected from other aspirants, never have I witnessed such in my years in politics. Some of our delegates had the opportunities of retrieving constituency assets and fund in form of reinforcements for primaries.
The people WON, we WON!
I write this to show you that I am  proud of you all and I have no regret. We became a force, not just an assemblage of power grabbers but patriots and exemplary young personages. I’m proud of what we have become and what we stood for, we will continue to stand tall amongst others.
Thank you and God bless KogiEast.
