Sequel to a recent press statement on Kogireports website titled “The New Kogi Mr. Sunday Umoru Did Not Know; It’s The Mexican Tetra’s View by The Aspirant” – dated April 4, 2018, by some stooges who see themselves as surrogates of Governor Yahaya Bello gathered together to compile a fallacious proposed infrastructure development plans of Bello’s administration in response to my earlier press statement on “the state of infrastructure development in Kogi State which I described as disheartening,
Those Stooges claimed they have clear understanding of what a mind-blowing infrastructure development was, but rather, their entire press release was premised on the areas of Peoples Democratic Party PDP failures and emphasizing on blueprints which they refer to as “New Direction” of Bello’s administration. These stooges also exhibited their ignorance in current affairs of Nigeria.
It is a known fact that twenty-two (22) governors out of the twenty-four governors of the All progressive Congress APC came from Peoples Democratic Party PDP, and they should also note that in any gathering or group there will always be bad eggs. So therefore “APC” is not better than “PDP”, there are bad eggs in “APC” just like them, and for the fact that I am a gubernatorial aspirant on running on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, means that, if I become the next governor of Kogi State, I will follow suit in corrupt practices.

Let’s call a spade a spade; governance in Kogi state no doubt has recorded huge dissatisfaction in the past and a worst case presently. In Kogi Central where Governor yahaya Bello came from, it will beat your imagination that water scarcity is a phenomenon in the central senatorial district of Kogi State, particularly the Okene-Eba axis of the district. Despite reassuring promises that respite will soon come through the state government’s efforts to utilize the Osara Dam and Okene waterworks, the problem keeps resurging year in and out.
Last week, at a meeting of Kogi Central cabinet members in the Yahaya Bello led government of Kogi state, there was a renewal of promise that the scarcity will be put to a halt in the coming months. “Am watching”
The people of Okene-Eba who are the worst hit, have been left to their fate and now rely on commercial water tankers before they can get water amidst economic hardships.
In all these tribulations, the begging question is whether these people belong to a Federal Constituency currently being represented at the House of Representatives? Of course, they belong to one.
This week, one of the water tankers somersaulted while trying to maneuver his way up the hilly, dilapidated and death-trap Okene-Eba road that is not up to a kilometer cannot be fixed by Bello’s Administration, and yet the governor and his stooge surrogates keep misleading the general public on infrastructure development. See the picture below.
It’s so sad that, at every opportunity Governor Yahaya Bello and his stooge surrogates has, they keep blaming the People Democratic Party PDP for failures at any giving time when questions are asked why the state is in its present messy situation. Governor Bello and his stooge surrogates should stop bowling and proffer meaningful solutions to better the lives of Kogites.
According to these stooge surrogates, various infrastructure projects have been flagged off by Bello’s administration amounting to billions of Naira, but the truth is that works are not in progress on most of these projects they referenced to due to lack of funding. These are verifiable facts. “Perhaps works will commence very soon since am putting the information out”
Putting in place mind-blowing infrastructures that will turn around the economy of Kogi State for the better, if not for the best, is beyond donating rice, donating chairs, and drilling sub-standard boreholes in selected communities in the state, and making it look like they are doing those communities a favour. For crying out loud, all that is politics and the people of Kogi State deserves more than what is given.
Governor Yahaya Bello need to take a cue from state like Lagos that has figured out other avenues of generating huge revenue for the state and do not solely depend on government allocation.
Let me digress to security issues of the state. The state of security in the state is nothing to write home about period. What are the specific security issues that Bello’s administration has tackled to zero or tackling? What does he do with the monthly security vote money? “I will leave this topic for another day”
My candid advice for these stooge surrogates namely; Ayomide Oluseyi Alabi (Isanlu) Charles Enemali (Ogodo, Omala LG.) and Siaka Omatsehi (Ogori), is for them to decamp now and join the Peoples Democratic Party PDP train that will coast to victory in 2019.
