Frontline 2019 House of Representative aspirant from Idah federal constituency, Hon Idris Hussein has donated two 500KVA transformers to Ajaka in Igalamela-Odolu local government and Ega ward in Idah local government, Kogi State.

The transformers were delivered to the beneficiary communities on Sunday.

According to Idris, the critical need of the communities informed the donation. He said the gesture was meant to support the government in alleviating the suffering of the people.

The aspirant, popular known as Idrisima, explained that he was moved by the challenges faced by the communities as a result of electricity problem which has affected the economy of the ancient towns adversely.

“Many residents, particularly those who use electricity to operate their businesses, have suffered a great deal. My support for the people of Igalamela-Odolu, Idah, Ofu and Ibaji local governments, particularly the poor, will come in phases. There are plans to provide succour for the people in the areas of youth empowerment, water supply and education under several initiatives and programmes,” he said.

Hon Idris Hussein maintained that he had been supporting the people of Idah Federal Constituency before his intention to vie for House of Representatives seat.

“I have been assisting students who are indigenes of Idah, Igalamela-Odolu, Ofu, Ibaji and often donate instructional materials to schools to aid teaching and learning.

“So, this gesture is not because of my aspiration to become their representative at the green chambers. I am really committed to the development of my constituency”

He, however, assured them of the willingness of All Progressives Congress (APC) to correct all the wrongs and hold on tightly to the welfare of the good people of Idah Federal Constituency in 2019.

He added that the donation of transformers is one of my own ways of making life easier for the people.
