The Peoples Democratic Party PDP) in Kogi State has warned the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) against starting an unending political war.

In a statement issued and signed by Dickson Achadu, Director Research and Documentation, the party described the weekend attack on Senator Ahmed Ogembe and some members of PDP in the central senatorial district of the state as the lowest level the ruling APC has degenerated into.

“Never has politics in the state been dragged to a low, to an extent that the ruling party would unleash mayhem on members of the opposition. APC in the Central Senatorial District of the state is starting an unending war that would do no one any good,” he said.

The PDP urged the APC to learn from the history of the past by ensuring that peace prevails before, during and after the coming political dispensation.

PDP lamented a situation where top council Administrators and some APC stalwarts, acting on the instructions from their principal, will want to snuff life out of members of the opposition.

The PDP statement called on the Police to fish out the perpetrators of the weekend dastardly act and lamented that the threat to the lives of a serving Senator, former House of Representative member and some PDP members in the Central Senatorial District as cowardly, dastardly and a heinous crime.

The PDP urged members of its party not to be distracted by the intimidation, describing the act of the APC as the fear of defeat for a government that has inflicted so much pain on the people.
