A pressure group, Voice of Mopamuro Youths (VOMY) on Wednesday thanked the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mathew Kolawole of Kabba-Bunu State Constituency for appointing one their own as a special assistant.
The leader of the delegation, Comr. Jacob Damilare Abraham described the Speaker as a detribalised leader who believes in one Kogi and also congratulate him for achieving unprecedented records within short period of being the Speaker.
It would be recalled that Kolawole became the Speaker on 3rd of August, 2017 after which he made some appointments as make up for the hallowed office.
The Speaker selected his appointees within and outside his immediate (Kabba-Bunu) constituency and Federal constituency, the magnanimity which made Abel Olushola Julius of Mopamuro State Constituency to be appointed as Special Assistant on New Media and many others from Yagba East and Lokoja-Kogi-Koto-Karfe Constituencies.
Earlier, Okun Youths for Change led by Comr. Ola Adekunle presented an Award of Credence of Excellence to the Speaker. Adekunle said the Award is one earned by the Speaker due to his life touching constituency programmes and intensive Legislative Activities.
The Speaker appreciates the presence of both Youths Organization, advising them to take life seriously and shun every form of social vices. He also charged the Youths to create a platform to sensitize themselves on the need to be useful united youths towards a greater Okun Nation.
Other Comrades present from Mopamuro are Comr. Olayemi Stephen, Comr. Aro Helen, Comr. Adeleye Oluwafemi, Comr. Olowu Juwon and Comr. Obadofin Peter.
