The member representing Ankpa 2 constituency at the Kogi state house of assembly, Hon Alfa Mommoh Rabiu has extended his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the affected victims of the deadly Lokoja accident which claimed several lives and properties last Friday.
In his condolence message, the honorable member regretted the incident praying that such development never repeat itself in the state and cautioned drivers and commuters to be wary of road subconsciousness describing the accident to be most unfortunate.
The distinguished honorable has it in his words that: “my heart goes out to the bereaved families, the entire people of Kogi state and I wish the injured victims speedy recovery. Drivers and people playing highway routes must henceforth maintain absolute consciousness and endeavour not to be risking their lives in other that we may never witness such again”, he said.
The said accident happened at midday on Friday along Felele-Okene road with a death toll of about ten persons including a female HND student of Kogi state polytechnic Lokoja. The accident which was largely blamed on a heavy duty vehicle caused an explosion that lead to destruction of vehicles worth millions of naira.
