Member representing Ankpa 1 state constituency in Kogi State House of Assembly, Honourable Ahmed Mohammed will today flag-off the ‘Back to School Educational Support Initiative’ during the graduation ceremony of students of Timaku Secondary School, Ankpa.
The education support initiative of Ahmed is designed for school students in his constituency. He will visit different schools this week to begin the implementation of the initiative.
Ahmed, who is the Deputy Majority Leader of the House, will meet with students whom he awarded scholarships across Ankpa LGA, and also provide educational materials to students and support institutions.
On Thursday, July 27, the lawmaker will deliver a lecture on positive effects of gender equality in nation building at the graduation ceremony of students of Aleka Academy, Ankpa. He will be the guest speaker at the event.
On Saturday, July 29, he is billed to celebrate with students of Unity Comprehensive secondary school, Ankpa.
According to Ahmed’s senior legislative aide, Prince Tijani Dauda, the education support scheme of the lawmaker is yielding positive results. He mentioned that all the students that benefited from the Ahmed Mohammed Education Scholarship Programme passed their WAEC examinations.
