In the journey of life, prayer is inevitable and we can’t shy away from work and I mean hard work , and as long as the spirit controls the physical, we must pray for our dear state and Nation.
You will agree with me that Kogi and the Nation at large needs prayers, we are to live in a fine balanced life and community, standing for that which is true while seeking unity amongst ourselves, standing firm while holding our leaders accountable as we pray for them to have abundance of wisdom and sound health.
Pray for the peace of Kogi State and Nigeria as a whole, and that all those who sincerely hunger to see her great to be secured, prosperous and to greatly succeed.
“There shall be peace within our walls and security within our citadels”.
We should equally pray for the swearing in of Kogi State ministers and representatives in the Federal Executive Council since last year as provided in the Constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria that all States must be represented.
Prayer is key, but we should forgive ourselves for our prayers to be answered, grudges, bitterness, grieves, even hate and unforgiveness hinders prayer. Let us pray for our leaders and people in authority as they handle the sail to our ship at the moment. It is on this note I want to leave us with the second stanza our National Anthem;
O God of Creation, direct our noble cause,
Guide our leaders right, help our youth the truth to know,
In love and honesty to grow, and live in just and truth,
Great lofty heights attain, to build the nation where peace,
And justice shall reign.
