A local security group stormed one Mr. Okpe’s compound in Okpo, the headquarters of Olamaboro local government, at about 10pm on Saturday and arrested a young lady (name withheld) for having an affair with one Master Lawal.
The incident which led to unrest in that neighborhood till about 1am on Sunday, started after the mother of the said Lawal allegedly reported the case to the vigilante group after her several attempts to stop the unholy affair ended in futility.
According to an eye witness who does not want her name in print, the mother of the young man had warned the lady severally warned to stay away from her son.
“The woman has even come to report to the landlord but the lady wouldn’t stop”, she said.
The mother of the young man became uncomfortable with the affair after she discovered that her son usually steal her rice for the Lady and that the lady is always passing nights in her son’s room.
The young lady is said to have come from one of the neighboring communities to Okpo for a secondary academic pursuit.
As at the time of filing this report, no information has been elicited from the vigilante group.
