A socio-political group, Kogi Patriotic Front (KPF) has appealed to Acting President Yemi Osinbajo to swear-in the recently cleared ministerial nominee from Kogi State, Professor Stephen Ocheni.

In a press statement signed by the group’s Vice Chairman, Abdulhamid Nuhu, the group wondered why Ocheni has not been inaugurated three weeks after the senate cleared him alongside the nominee from Gombe State, Suleiman Hassan.

Nuhu reminded Osinbajo that President Buhari told Nigerians in his letter to Senate that all activities of the government will be hitch free while he is away.

He expressed worries over the pattern of delays that has characterized Kogi ministerial slot since the demise of James Ocholi SAN. He noted that the announcement of a replacement for Ocholi was unduly delayed, the screening was slightly delayed, and now, the inauguration is currently being delayed.

He accused the Acting President of been too formal in running the affairs of the government.

“If Acting President Yemi Osinbajo presides over Federal Executive Council sessions, what does it take to swear in the new ministers? Kogi is desirous of being included in national development through representation in Federal cabinet”, he said.
