Kogi Agric Commissioner Resigns

Barely six month in office, the Commissioner for Agriculture in Kogi state, Dr Tim Nda Diche has resigned.
His resignation was announced by the Director General, Media and Publicity to Governor Bello, Fanwo Kingsley at the end of the state executive meeting held at the government house in Lokoja.
Fanwo, who failed to give details on why the Bassa-born businessman tendered his resignation letter, told journalist that the former commissioner resigned on personal grounds.
Fanwo added that his resignation was received by the secretary to the state government, Mrs Folashade Arike Ayoade.
Dr Diche was among 15 commissioners appointed by governor Yahaya Bello in June 2016.
It was not clear if Dr Diche was not in good terms with his principal, but unconfirmed sources however has it that the former commissioner was tired of signing documents and memos which were not originally prepared by his ministry.
Sometimes last week, Governor Yahaya Bello threatened to sack any commissioner who is not in tune with his administration’s new direction agenda to move the state forward.
Governor Bello gave the warning while addressing reporters after an unscheduled visit to Government Day Secondary School, Adankolo in the state capital, Lokoja.
