In her bid to create jobs, wealth and knowledge-driven economy in the state, the Kogi state economic team traveled to China to hold crucial economic discussion with top technology firms.
A five member economic team led by the State Commissioner for Finance, Hon Asiru Asiwaju Idris, held meeting with telecommunications giant, Huawei, on possible technology partnership with Kogi state government.
According to Asiru, the partnership will seek to develop a technological base for the education sector in the state.
He explained that the objective of the economic trip to China is to create jobs for Kogi youths and create wealth for the people. He said that this will also serve as an encouragement to other investors to come and invest in the state.
The proposed partnership will also cover supply of security gadgets to the State in its quest to tackle insecurity issues headlong.
Asiru urge youths in the state to be more creative and be computer literate so that they can become relevant in the society.
