A chieftain of the APC in Kogi State, Chief Clarence Olafemi, yesterday, warned that failure to unite factions of the party in the state will affect fortunes of APC in future elections.

Olafemi, a member of the party’s Board of Trustees (BOT) and former acting governor of the state, said that existence of three factions of the party in the state was worrisome.

He said: “I’m very worried because I knew what it took us to obtain the victory we have for the APC in the state.
Some of us sold our property to make sure that we can mobilise support because we did not want to be shamed.
“And having achieved that success, it is sad that today we are in factions. We have the Faleke’s faction, Senator Dino’s faction and governor’s faction. This is the truth and nobody can dispute it. How do you now see your house disintegrating the way it is today?”
Olafemi appealed to all the factional leaders to unite, saying that there would be dire consequences for the party if the political impasse remained unresolved.
