Communiqué of All Progressive Congress Stakeholders meeting in Yagba Federal Constituency, who met at Abdulsalami Musa Oluyori Memorial Hall, Isanlu the Federal Constituency Headquarters on 29th December, 2015 by 11.00am.
The meeting was well attended by the leaders of note and those that casted their votes for the change we have in Kogi State.
The essence of the meeting was to thank all and sundry for the unalloyed support given to our great party APC, during the campaign and the general election of the Kogi State Governorship election on the 21st November, 2015. The stakeholders on behalf of His Excellency James Abiodun Faleke thanked the gathering for their unflinching loyalty and courage to sweep away the bad governance in Kogi State.
A minute silence was observed by the people to show their sign of respect to the Prince of the Niger, Adoja Audu Abubakar and prayed that God should grant him eternal rest. Amen.
The chief convener of the meeting explained the reason of our gathering by explaining to us all that happened after the demise of Prince Audu Abubakar. The issues of inconclusive by INEC that the Audu/Faleke Campaign Organisation is challenging in the Court. How Yahaya Bello was erroneously used to replaced Audu instead of Faleke.
They explained to the teaming crowd in their thousands how Yahaya Bello was begged to work for the party (APC) but he refused, they mention several calls that was put to him to attend the flag off rally, and other rallies that fell on his deaf ears. The speaker now asked, if APC lost the election would Yahaya Bello have any power to claim? Aside that the Holy Book talk against cheats and falsehoods.
Barely all at the service table lamented on the roles of some of our notable personalities in whom Yagba people entrusted their political destiny, those that entered the inner bedroom of Late Prince Audu Abubakar and James Abiodun Faleke before the election to carry resources used to process the election in the entire Kogi State, although it was termed a fight against Audu the dead and Faleke the Living which they shall loose gallantly. Those referred elders that supposed to preserve their sanctity for posterity sake who now fell short of their calling by betraying the entire Yagba and Okun people in this contest are: Clarence Olafemi from Mopamuro, John K. Odeyemi from Yagba East, Kayode Adegbayo (Olomo) From Yagba East, One Asaje and Asagun from Yagba West. The speakers and the audience raised their voices against these people for too many sins of using our future for their selfish end and then passed vote of no confidence on them as leaders and immediately appoint fresh people to take the mantle of leadership.
On the issues of the litigation , it was said that His Excellency James Abiodun Faleke did not sue Ebira or Yahaya Bello but the umpire (INEC) because it was believed that the election have been won by Audu/Falekes on the 21st November, 2015 that was why Audu/Faleke Campaign Organisation wrote INEC and went to Court to stop the supplementary election and as such that of 5th December,2015 was an effort in futility.
The meeting now urged the general public to asked Yahaya Bello and his cohort to beg Hon. Philips Salau of Labour Party and Moses Osigi Enesi of the PPA; who happened to be Yahaya’s kinsmen to drop their suit against him because they are the one that directly join Yahaya Bello in their suit and prayed the court should declare them winner having score higher vote than the 6,000 scored by Yahaya Bello.
The Yagba Federal Constituency wish to alert the general public that the role of Clarence Olafemi who is a Board of Trustees of our great party APC is inimical to his calling as the BOT member and ought not to have condescend so low to be looking for Deputy Governor of Kogi State after all his political attainment. The meeting pass a vote of no confidence on him and want him sanctioned.
The meeting agreed that Right Honourable Buba Umar Jubril should be recognized as the new All Progressives Congress leader for Kogi West Senatorial District and wish the general public should take note of this.
