Kogi State Governor, Capt Idris Wada says the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the State is not faced by the challenges that will make it not to win convincingly in the February general election, even though he admitted that there are challenges that are however summon table.
Capt Wada stated this when he received in audience Hon Abdullahi Hussein Maibasiru, National Youth Leader of the party, who is in the State to sensitize youths on the need to vote for President Goodluck Jonathan and other candidates of the party in the February, general election.
Capt Wada who was represented at the occasion by his Deputy, Yomi Awoniyi, described the youths as those that should play a fundamental role in the re-election of President Jonathan, considering the efforts his administration has put in place at bequeathing to them lasting educational and other empowerment legacies.
Capt Wada said with the investment in education, establishing special schools and employment opportunities the Jonathan’s administration has created in the last four years, youths he said should stand in the vanguard to ensure that he is re-elected.
The Governor commended the youth friendly policies the Jonathan’s administration has put in place, urged youths from Kogi State to rally round President Jonathan and vote enmass for all PDP candidates vying for elective positions in the February general elections.
In his remarks, Hon Abdullahi Hussein Maibasiru, National Youth Leader of the PDP, praised the level of commitment shown by youths of Kogi State to the President Goodluck Jonathan 2015 comeback project.
He expressed optimism that with the enthusiasm shown by the youths of the state he is hopeful that the President and other PDP candidates will secure a hundred percent vote from the State.
The youth leader praised the Wada administration for making the youths a focal aspect in its programs and policies and solicited the support of the State Government to PDP support groups in the State.
