It is heartwarming to salute and commend Your Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, CFR, CON, and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for appointing ministers through the senate.
The systematic approach in the screening of ministers at the hallowed chamber, no doubt demonstrated your government’s resolve for Real Change. The ministerial screening was widely acknowledged to be transparent, considering the measures that was put in place to ensure integrity of the exercise, and this, finally doused the critics of the corruption allegations of some ministers.
However, as APC led government gradually settles down for the tasks of governance, the expectations are high for the government to deliver on the dividends of democracy for the people in the face of the economic and security challenges at hand in the country
It is expected that the government for Change should be all-encompassing in the developmental stride of providing adequate power supply for the people, adequate healthcare service delivery; building massive infrastructural development; restructuring of the educational institutions to increase carrying capacity; ensure capacity building of the civil servants to be more productive and less bureaucratic; commitment to job creation for the teeming population of the unemployed youths; diversification of the economy to the Agricultural and Mining Sectors and reduce much dependence on Oil and Gas Sector.
The anti-corruption crusade of your government, should not be enmeshed with cynicisms and ill-motivated action, but anchored on the aspirations and yearnings of the people for better result. In order to prepare for Change that the people have been craving for, this book titled: “The Coming Jobs War”. What every leader must know about the future of job creation, by Jim Clifton, Chairman of Gallup is humbly recommended to your team in shaping their ideas to overcome this new and compelling tasks of governance.
“In a provocative book for business and government leaders, Gallup Chairman Jim Clifton describes how this undeniable fact will affect all leadership decisions as countries wage war to produce the best jobs. Leaders of countries and cities, Clifton says, should focus on creating good jobs because as jobs go, so does the fate of nations. Jobs bring prosperity, peace, and human development — but long-term unemployment ruins lives, cities, and countries.”
Consequently, your tenure should make a great difference that will lead to the economic prosperity of our great country Nigeria more than any government of the fourth republic.
Congratulations and wishing Your Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari and his lieutenants a successful tenure in office.
