The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi state, has yesterday described the allegations of rigging on the party, as laughable and baseless.
The national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Uche Secondus was to have alleged the APC of a plot to rig the forthcoming governoship election in the state.
Secondus was said to have made the allegation at Okene, during the PDP last week zonal rally in the state.
But the head of media team to Prince Abubakar Audu campaign organisation, Dr. Tom Ohikere, said the PDP is merely crying wolf there is none.
“What does the PDP has to show the people of Kogi state, it it the unfulfilled promise to refund WAEC fee paid by parents. Or the many months of denials and deprivation faced by workers.”
“In four years, local government workers have only received full salary twice. How mant of our communities have felt the inpact of the Wada’s administration.
According to Ohikere, the Wada’s administration and his co-travellers are already driven by morbid fear and eminent rejection by the people of the state.
He said the APC since it formation has always been advocate of true democracy and ensure votes count, saying that the last presidential election was a case study.
“The PDP for all the years in power have always relied on the rigging machinery to win election. With the present incorruptible state of INEC, Wada and his cohorts are already confused. Because it will no longer be business as usual, much thanks to the card reader.
“PDP is the most corrupt government in the history of Kogi state. Look around, all you see is rot. Even Government House that was once the pride of the state is not spared,” he added.
While allaying the PDP fears of what they use to do at every election, Ohikere, noted that President Muhammadu Buhari is too honest to truncate electoral process, “Because the President believe in the power of PVC. He has voiced it severally that the wishes of the people must be allow to prevail at all time.
