I extend the warmest wishes of our government to the people of Kogi State and felicitate with our people as we celebrate this year’s Eid-El-Kabir.

I also congratulate all believers who have successfully undertaken the Hajj this year as enjoined by Prophet Mohammed (May Peace Be Upon Him).

I urge all other Muslim political leaders in Kogi State to embrace the principles of Eid, which include; sacrifice, almsgiving, brotherhood and equality. As we celebrate the Eid-El-Kabir, let us also rededicate and commit ourselves to the Holy Prophet’s injunctions of piety, honesty, charity and generosity to the less privileged, impartial leadership and true justice for all.

I thank the many individuals, stakeholders, groups, associations, non-governmental organizations, unions and political leaders from across the state who have supported our efforts and commitment towards repositioning Kogi State for more rapid growth and development.

May Allah’s blessings be upon all our Muslim faithfuls who have undertaken the Hajj this year and on our dear country, Nigeria.

I wish all Kogi State citizens and Nigerians currently in the Holy Land a safe journey back home.

Happy Eid-El-Kabir to you all!

Captain Idris Wada

Executive Governor

Kogi State
