Ijumu female delegates for the August 29 guber primaries of Kogi State All Progressives Congress, APC, have organised a special prayer session for Senator Nurudeen Abatemi-Usman, a leading aspirant in the governorship contest during his visit to the Local Government Area to present himself to the delegates.

The special prayer, according to the women, is to seek God’s approval of the decision of the Ijumu delegates to queue behind Senator Abatemi-Usman as their choice aspirant on the day of the primary election.

For the Ijumu women, it is simply a sign of total acceptance and endorsement of the aspiration of the 44-year-old politician to govern Kogi State.

Senator Abatemi-Usman received similar declaration of support and endorsement from delegates in other areas visited in Okunland – Kabba, Mopa, Yagba West and Yagba East. The delegates were all unanimous in their support for DEEN. So was it in Ebiraland, the central senatorial district where he comes from and Igalaland, the eastern axis of Kogi State.
