I appreciate this privilege of been a frontier of a new Kogi State. Kogi State, where UNITY is in DIVERSITY and development is possible. Kogi State is nigeria in Nigeria (Abel, J. 2015). Considering the nature of her Socio-Political determinants, ethnic/tribal/religion differences, natural resources and economy state. In other to arrive at the Kogi State of our dream one has to have deep understanding of this, thereby unify our diversity for the desired development.
The state has had three different governors from its inception till date in persons of Prince Abubakar Audu, Alh. Ibrahim Idris, and incumbent Captain Idris Wada.
The experience of Kogites has not been friendly compared to what is achievable in other few states around us and doesn’t have up what we have as potentials.
We have mineral resources that can keep the whole of Nigeria going yet untapped.
I have been given an assignment to liberate Kogi State by Kogi Youths.
It is not a decision I jumped out in a morning to reach, but the only way to deliver Kogi is by a Youthful oriented servant leadership which is on focus.
I am out to express my interest officially and reason for taking this historical step for the liberation of Kogi State under the platform of People Democracy Party (PDP) after wide reach of Kogites at home and in diaspora.
After wide research of the entire state, suggestions from bought indigenous and non indigenous Kogites, friends of Kogi State, political observers and well meaning Nigerians. I have heed to this clarion call for a new face in Kogi State.
I therefore will be obtaining my Expression of Information and Nomination Forms for the party’s (PDP) governorship primary election.
I made decision after concluding that it’s only a bold youthful oriented personality can begin the new chapter in Kogi State.
After close observation of the economic determinant of the state, I see an hidden potential in the state which is observed by very few persons. TOURISM.
This is a great asset that is yet to be put to used by Kogi State. Having observed the place of the State in the Nigeria history and her natural features that tourist attractive.
Kogi Must Grow!
Tourism shall be harnessed properly and it’s going to go a long way in delivering to us Kogi of our dream. It will go a long way in dealing with youth un-employment which is an important factor to the rate of insecurity in the state and other youthful vices which has engulfed our sons and daughters.
Generally youth population is of great determinant to the Nigeria’s Socio-Politicals and Kogi State is not to be left out. So we will go a long way in engaging our youths in all ramifications.
We shall educate our youth, both formal and informal education.
Private Sector participation shall be encourage in public service oriented organisations and agency for efficiency should be reached.
Grass roots infrastructural development shall be visited as confirmed that in most areas in Kogi (Confluence) State still have an issue water supply system.
Looking at our Education sector, especially the basic education which is suppose to be the most viable in our education stages been the foundation. Beginners schools, and Secondary schools modus operandi shall be visited and there shall be revolution.
Kogi Must Grow!
Endowment of vast and rich land mass for farming. Improved seedlings, farming tools and farmers empowerment shall be introduced.
The transportation mode and system is not at the standard of modernisation. Transport complex infrastructures, park way shall be constructed for easy and cheaper transport.
Our health sector shall be revolutionalized. Facilities, man power, and health education.
One important agency that needs rapt attention in the state is Waste Management Agencies. Waste if not we’ll collected and disposed makes us prone to illness and diseases. Waste shall be disposed through the right means.
Kogi Must Grow!
As the next Governor of Kogi State, I shall harmonize the relationship of the State and Federal Government. Motivate the FG on why and how the State mineral resources shall be tapped and efficiently use.
I therefore urge for your support at party’s primary election. With me as the head servant of the state, Kogi Must GROW!
With the look of factors that determine the Kogi politics especially at this present dispensation like the youthful factor among others. I BANJO AMOTO MOSES is Kogi dream come true, and considering the party’s victory I am the only candidate that can secure the state for the party and still deliver POWER to the PEOPLE.
