On my way to the PDP national secretariat in Abuja at about 12:38 PM on Thursday 20th and lo and behold some blind and misled crowd singing, dancing and showering all sort of praises to Alh. Jibrin Isah Echocho. I was perplexed by the scene before me.
Like a curious cat, I asked what is happening or what could have caused this crowd disturbing the peace of the Wuse residents and I was meant to understand that he (Echocho) was around to pick his nomination form. I shook my head in what seem like a disappointment not because I have anything personal against the aspiration of anybody but because I was gutted with the manner at which the masses celebrate a renowned fraudster, a person who looted the defunct Afribank to zero, how could we not see that if we commit our state treasury into this man’s hands, then we will be nose-diving into economical doom.
In this era where by we are seeking for the eradication of political old war-horse and institute a younger generation to Anchor the affairs of politics in the country at large, the likes of the white bearded Capt. Wada is still roaring to go for a second term. After a first term of failure by our short-sighted Political Captain and a retired banker Echocho well known for fraudulent acts, I was shocked to the marrow when I saw all the Aspirants in the PDP, if I were these Men, I will rather choose to act as Political Adviser to the two other younger Men contesting the primaries (Banjo Amoto Moses and Comr. Moh’d Ali).
It is now obvious that some persons think Public offices as personal interests as they are nothing close to public interests and party interest. My Advice to the ill-fated Captain Wada and the fraudulent Echocho is that they should bury their heads in shame as these young men they are contesting the primaries are young enough to be their sons.
If they truly love Kogi State like they claim to, they should rest and turn political advisers.
Our Kogi our pride!!! Our Kogi Our decision!! We the youth will stand up for what is right for us!!
