Accountant General of Kogi State, Ibrahim Idakwo, yesterday said government is strengthening its financial control and accountability mechanism so as to block all leakages and engender good governance.
Ibrahim, while declaring open a five day training for accountants who are to be converted to internal auditors, noted that the workshop would equip participants with requisite skills in public finance management and control.
The training was organised in conjunction with Joll Consults.
He said the training was in line with Governor Wada’s transformation programme of ensuring prudence in the management of the lean financial resources accruing to the state.
