Some aggrieved members of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kogi State have threatened to abandon the party over the recently appointed local government caretaker committee by the state governor.

Some stakeholder of the party who spoke with Kogireports claimed that the appointees were wrong and unpopular choices. They argued that zoning formula in the respective LGAs was not followed.

According to the stakeholders, the composition of the LG Caretaker Committees will determine the success and otherwise of the party in the forth coming elections. They counseled Governor Idris Wada to revisit the appointment as some party big wigs are already aggrieved. Party leaders, they claimed, were not consulted in the appointments.

An insider source said the governor will still look into places where there are complaints before inauguration.
