Missionary Establishes University in Kogi

A faith organisation, God’s Care Mission incorporated, Okpo has concluded plans to establish a university at Etutekpe community in Kogi State.

The university according to the mission is to among others boost educational and human resource development of the country.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Lokoja, Kogi State capital, the university which is going to be a generalised institution will be known as Evergreen University.

The chairman of the foundation laying ceremony of the university, Mr Dickson Itodo in the statement said the university would also address imbalance in the quality of graduates being churned out from the nation’s universities.

He noted that former Minister of Information, Prof. Jerry Gana and Governor Idris Wada of Kogi State are expected to be the Chairman on the occasion and special guest respectively while the Attah Igala, Michael Ameh-Oboni II and Rev. Samson Ajetumobi would be royal father of the day and guest speaker, respectively.

Also, the founder of God’s Care Mission incorporated, Evangelist Sunday Oguche stated that the establishment of the university was not his vision but a “Divine directive from God.”

He said the aim of the university was to produce well-baked graduates in various disciplines with Godliness as foundation.
