The governor of kogi state, Capt Idris Wada has commended the Kogi Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) Office on quality of their projects in Kogi state.
The governor made the commendation during his working visit to Egume Surface Water Plant and the commissioning of the water project. The governor acknowledged the quality of job done at the Surface Water Plant and commended the MDGs for the efficient management of resources.
Speaking at the occasion, the Special Adviser to the governor of kogi state on MDGs, Alhaji Haliru Ali Abdul said, the Egume Surface Water Plant is one of the laudable achievements of the present administration of Capt Idris Wada. Alhaji Haliru said, the initiative of the Egume Surface Water Plant was born out of the fact there were many water reservoir in Egume and it’s environ, all that was needed was to provide water system that can be transported to these reservoirs for onward reticulations.He said the Water Project has the capacity to supply water to Anyigba and other communities around Egume.
The people of Egume thanked the governor of kogi state, Capt Idris Water for addressing the challenge of water shortage faced by the people in the past.
The governor was on the tour alongside his deputy, Arch Yomi Awoniyi, his Chief of Staff, Hon Yusa M., some commissioners and other government officials.
