Wada Appeal to Nigerians to Support PDP, Jonathan’s Re-election

An appeal has gone to Nigerians to remain supportive and have an abiding faith in the Peoples Democratic Party led administration under the leadership of President Goodluck Jonathan, as the nation prepares for the 2015 general elections.

Capt Idris Wada, Kogi State Governor made the appeal, while fielding questions from Newsmen at the end of the PDP Governor’s meeting held in Abuja.

The Governor who was represented by his deputy, Yomi Awoniyi, urged Nigerian’s to conduct themselves in a peaceful and orderly manner as the nation passes through another period of electioneering.

The Governor assured that the reelection of President Jonathan in 2015 would enable the President consolidate on the successes attained in the transformation agenda begun by the administration in the last three and half years.

Capt Wada appealed to politicians to guide their utterances ahead the period of election, disclosing that politics should be service centered, and charged politicians to campaign on issues and avoid utterances that will over heat the polity.

Capt Wada described the PDP as a party that is people centered and has always had the interest of the people at heart, commended the emergence of President Jonathan as the party’s flag bearer for the 2015 Presidential election.

The Governor described the PDP and President Jonathan as a party better positioned to take the country to its desired heights of development, assured of an overwhelming victory for the party in all elections in the forth coming general elections.

The meeting which was attended by fifteen PDP governors, resolved to collectively work towards ensuring total victory for the party in the next year’s general election across the country, urged party members to collectively work for the party’s victory in 2015 general election.
