The national coordinator of Okun youth congress, Mr Opeyemi Duke has congratulated Professor Joash Amupitan on his swearing in ceremony as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN)
While speaking to our correspondent at a reception organised in honour of Prof. Amupitan at Sheraton Hotel Abuja, Mr Opeyemi described Prof. Amupitan as a worthy role model to Okun youths whose life exemplify discipline, dedication and hard work.
I met prof. Some years back as an undergraduate student at University of Jos, he has since then been a fatherly figure and mentor to me who always create time despite his busy schedule to listen to my problems and help in solving them. He has impacted so many of us from okun descends and by extension Kogi state positively. This explain the caliber of people present here at a reception in his honour. He is indeed a good man and a man of the people Mr opeyemi said.
Present at the occasion were notable Nigerians like former minister of health prof. Eyitayo Lambo who doubles as the chairman of the occasion, former NBA chairman and minister of Justice Chief Bayo Ojo, former chief of staff presidency, Prince Olusola Akanmode, former Vice Chancellor, University of Jos Prof. Sunny Tyoden, former CSO to Gen. Abacha Major Hamza Al-mustapha, Arc. Idris Salman, Gen. Oshanupin, ODA chairman Amb. Fadunmiyo, House of reps member Hon. TJ yusuf, and Hon. Yakubu Dogara.
Others are special assistant to minister of state power, Comrade Tosin Adeyanju, Alh. Shaibu Ipinmisho, Dr. Abraham Sesan Peters, Mr Oladele John Nihi and host of others.
Distinguish Sen. Smart Adeyemi was represented by Mr Ayodele Demokun. The governor of Kogi, Benue and Bayelsa were also represented at the occasion.

The celebrant, Prof J.O Amupitan, SAN thanked God for making him to see a great day like this. He attribute his success to God’s help, discipline and hard work. He thanked those who came to honour him and those who could not make it down but sent their goodwill messages and promised to continue to make his Family, Friends and associates proud.
Prof. Amupitan is the immediate past dean of faculty of law at university of Jos, board member, Nigeria institute of advance legal study and an authority on law of evidence in Nigeria who has published so many books and made presentations within and outside Nigerian. He is married to Mrs Yemisi Amupitan (Phd in view) and blessed with children.
